Making a Lower Case of It

Hoping, wishing and finally having had the time and patience over the last few hours, I’m now able to state that I’ve made the move to valid XHTML for this particular page. Lots o’ back and forth, playing around with javascript, what little of it there is. With XHTML tags, etc. meant to be in lowercase, who but me would miss (what seemed like ages) why the validator didn’t dig my original onLoad event handler?

In other back-end news, I’m also just now getting to figuring my way around Textpattern so as to make updates (hopefully) easier and a lot more fun. A delicious, George Foreman grilled cajun chicken dinner for you if you’ll swing by and hook me up. Any takers?

C’est Fromage

New month – new feature.

For those of you that visit this page on a semi-regular basis (both of you) only to find that I’ve been dragging my ass when it comes to posting something new and/or worthwhile reading (which is hardly ever) and are becoming bored with looking at the same static photo for weeks at a time, there is some hope. By simply refreshing your browser window you will have the ability to change the photo adorning this page.

The trick now is for me to update those photos on a semi-regular basis.

Enjoy.

My Babe

Happy Birthday Sweetie! Once again, a beautiful day for your birthday. The open road to the north awaits.

Congratulations to Julie, James and new big sister Faith on the arrival of Marti-Rose late last night. Looking forward to the big meet ‘n greet!

Lebadgerine sound samples coming soon.

UPDATE: See yourself as a Lego figure.

Gigging and Photo Stuff

Thanks to all who made it out to the Nadjiwan gig last Friday and the premier of Lebadgerine last night at Holy Joe’s. Special thanks to Matt “the cook” Cook for serving up those delicious toaster waffles and syrup during the LB set.

I’ve been posting photos on the other photo page for the time being until I can get it together and figure out some PHP to start using this handy program.

Tables Be Gone!

As mentioned, some changes to the backend stuff for this site. From here on in, the page layout for this site is done with CSS instead of relying on old-fashioned tables. If this page now looks like shit, lemme know what platform, OS and browser you’re using so that I can work some more with the compliance thing.

Over the last few days I finally caught up on all the Quicktime News emails piling up in the in-box. I was thrilled to discover that Tortoise now have their own official website, which is currently previewing their new album, It’s All Around You, in its entirety. They’ve even got a section for soundman Casey Rice which is chock-full o’ neat stuff.

Two weeks of vacation time from work are just beginning. I’m trying not to think about whether it’ll be enough to do all the things I’ve been wanting to do and catch up on all the things I’ve been neglecting. Sleeping in will hopefully make the list.
