Life Mirrors Sci-Fi

Even with all the other shit happening in the world at the moment, you’d imagine that someone might have mentioned something about this at some point in the last two months.

Then again, maybe they’d been too busy getting their board with a nail in it ready.

Everyday Should Be Mother’s Day

Happy Birthday Lisa! Don’t worry, you’re still only 33 this year!

And of course, Happy Mother’s Day to both my Mom and to the mother of my beautiful son – my darling wife, Laurel.

(insert smoochy sound here)

Okay, that’s enough of that.

All Systems Go

Just checking to see if modifying attributes in Textpattern’s forms presentation will work.

Oh yeah, and it’s Friday!

UPDATE: Well, it would appear that I’ve got Textpattern handling the basics of posting. Therefore, no cajun chicken dinner for anyone but me. Aww. Next time, folks.

Making a Lower Case of It

Hoping, wishing and finally having had the time and patience over the last few hours, I’m now able to state that I’ve made the move to valid XHTML for this particular page. Lots o’ back and forth, playing around with javascript, what little of it there is. With XHTML tags, etc. meant to be in lowercase, who but me would miss (what seemed like ages) why the validator didn’t dig my original onLoad event handler?

In other back-end news, I’m also just now getting to figuring my way around Textpattern so as to make updates (hopefully) easier and a lot more fun. A delicious, George Foreman grilled cajun chicken dinner for you if you’ll swing by and hook me up. Any takers?

C’est Fromage

New month – new feature.

For those of you that visit this page on a semi-regular basis (both of you) only to find that I’ve been dragging my ass when it comes to posting something new and/or worthwhile reading (which is hardly ever) and are becoming bored with looking at the same static photo for weeks at a time, there is some hope. By simply refreshing your browser window you will have the ability to change the photo adorning this page.

The trick now is for me to update those photos on a semi-regular basis.

Enjoy.
