Jaga Jazzist and the iPod

They’re coming to Toronto!

I’m currently piling up the tunes on the new iPod. I don’t want to sound like a newbie by gushing, but this thing is effin’ awesome. How did I go this long without one?

Oh yeah, that whole money being exchanged for goods and services thing.

Birthday Present

Since I’ve been somewhat behaved as of late when it comes to procuring CDs, DVDs, books, etc., I’ve decided to pick me up an iPod as a birthday treat. I thought I’d wait until the minis were available in Canada, but changed my mind. Partially because of the whole 4GB vs 15GB with only a $50 difference. I know, I know – you’re paying for the shrunken technology. Anything more than the 15GB’er would be overkill. I don’t need to carry THAT much music around at one time. I do get home at some point in the day.

Yes-Brainer

Back in the saddle again.

For the first time since last September, I’ve got a couple of music reviews over at this week’s edition of The Brain. If you’re not familiar with Brainwashed, I highly recommend that you bookmark and visit often. There’s plenty o’ cool stuff to last a long, long time.

With some cools shows like Trans Am and Múm happening in town next month, it’ll be interesting to see how this will affect things.

Congrats

Congratulations Cormac and Peggy on this, your wedding day! It sounds better when said like Brando in the Godfather. As expressed by another family member (you know who you are) when I got married: one should not think of it as losing a brother, or gaining a sister, but gaining the loss of a brother (rimshot, please). Or something to that effect.

For those that like a slight change of scenery, there are now six new photos in the can for your browser refreshing enjoyment.

On the topic of photos, this afternoon, seeing as that I wasn’t able to make it over to Italy, I finally made it to the Dennis Morris show at the Shift Gallery here in Toronto, part of the Contact 04 photography festival. Great stuff. I couldn’t have picked a more last-minute time to go seeing as the closing party is this evening.

UPDATE: One more photo added to the mix.
